Legal consultant (interim) – 6yrs PQE - Derivatives - UAE at A&O Shearman

The role

A&O Shearman is seeking an interim Legal Consultant with 6 years PQE in Derivatives for a Finance role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This high-profile position offers the opportunity to advise on complex derivatives and structured products transactions.

What you'll do

Advise on a broad range of complex derivatives and structured products transactions across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions
Negotiate and draft ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, and related documentation
Advise the front office and risk teams
Advise portfolio managers on OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, prime brokerage, securities lending, and repo arrangements
Lead all ISDA, GMRA, and GMSLA negotiations

What we're looking for

6 years PQE in Derivatives

Common law qualification

Expertise in derivatives regulation (including EMIR and UAE regulatory frameworks)

Arabic language skills are desirable· nice to have

Experience with ADGM or DIFC-regulated fund structures is highly advantageous· nice to have
