Senior Associate (Costs Lawyer) 5+ PQE

The role

Kingsley Napley is seeking a Senior Associate (Costs Lawyer) with 5+ years of PQE to join their Costs department in London. This role will provide costs advice to internal practice areas, with a particular focus on supporting the Clinical Negligence, Dispute Resolution, and Private Client teams.

What you'll do

• Prepare all types of bills for detailed assessment both privately and publicly funded
• Prepare Points of Dispute and Replies
• Negotiate the settlement of costs
• Conduct detailed assessment hearings when settlement negotiations prove unsuccessful
• Complete matters upon settlement of costs, including accounting to previous firms of solicitors, preparing client invoices, and reconciling ledgers for file closing and reporting to conducting fee earner
• Assist in the preparation of Cost Budgets
• Attend CMC hearings
• Prepare cost schedules for summary assessment
• Prepare Estimates for Allocation and Listing Questionnaires (pre-01/04/13 cases)
• Advise fee earners and assist with all costs related issues
