Associate (1-5 PQE) –Emerging Companies at Mishcon de Reya

The role

Mishcon de Reya is seeking an Associate (1-5 PQE) for its Emerging Companies team in London or Cambridge. This role focuses on Venture Capital, advising innovative companies and investors on key growth stages and transactions.

What you'll do

Advise emerging technology and life sciences businesses on the key stages of their growth journey
Act for venture capitalists, angel investors, syndicates and institutional investors
Advise on transactions with universities and research organisations

What we're looking for

1-5 years' PQE gained in a relevant practice area from a reputable law firm

Excellent team player

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent organisational skills

Excellent writing skills, with strong drafting abilities

Demonstrates a hunger to undertake business development activities, both internally amongst colleagues across the firm, and externally to existing and potential new clients

Takes responsibility for and attends to self-development

Ability to effectively manage own workload

Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both internally and with clients

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Personable and confident, able to build relationships with colleagues, clients and external organisations

Resilient and calm under pressure

Adaptable and flexible approach
