The role
Hall & Wilcox is seeking an experienced mid-level Employment Lawyer with 2-4 years of PQE to join their highly regarded national Employment team in Sydney. This role will focus on advising medium to large national and international employers on contentious and non-contentious employment and industrial relations matters.
What you'll do
- Provide legal support to Partners on matters relating to employment law and industrial relations matters
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex legal concepts, and creatively apply legal knowledge to client situations to provide solutions to problems
- Draft legal documents, advices and handle multiple matters at any one time
- Maintain high level of communication with clients regarding progress of matters
- Work as part of talented team on large and complex litigation matters including restraints litigation, general protections, discrimination and unfair dismissal claims
- Discovery of documents and preparation of lists of documents
What we're looking for
Between 2-4 years of post-admission experience
Specifically in employment and industrial relations law
Experience from a large national or international law firm, or a specialist employment law practice
Excellent technical, analytical and drafting skills with a keen attention to detail
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organise and prioritise effectively
Strong commitment to client service
Ability to manage client relationships
Focus on achieving commercial solutions for clients
Proactive and able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
