The role

Harbottle & Lewis is seeking a highly capable Employment Senior Associate with 6-7 years of PQE to join their London office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for clients across various sectors, including media, entertainment, sports, and tech.

What you'll do

Play an active role in business development initiatives, including contributing to the growth of the employment practice by identifying opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and enhancing the firm’s profile

6-7 years PQE

Strong academics

High quality training

Ambitious and keen to take on responsibility

Good technical skills

Right interpersonal skills

Genuine interest in employment work

Commercial sense

Good interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic approach to their work

Willingness to deal with a wide range of matters at any one time

Contentious and non-contentious experience including contested Tribunals

Dealing with contested grievances and disciplinary processes on behalf of employers and employees

Confidence and ability to give practical advice to clients

Ability to work in a close knit and friendly team

Experience advising clients in the Film, TV, and Theatre sectors· nice to have

Proven ability to build and maintain a personal client base· nice to have
