Senior Associate – Wealth & Succession

The role

Howard Kennedy is seeking a Senior Associate for its Wealth & Succession team within the Private Client department in London. This role is ideal for an experienced lawyer focused on tax, trusts, and estate planning, as well as the administration of estates for High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals.

What you'll do

• Administer a broad range of estates from the straightforward to complex estates with international aspects
• Liaise with Personal Representatives, ascertaining the assets and liabilities of the estate
• Assist with new enquiries, speaking to clients and dealing with queries
• Support the estate accountant in preparing Estate Accounts
• Make applications for the Grant of Representation
• Handle all aspects of post-grant administration
• Provide oversight and guidance to more junior team members, assisting with their knowledge development and ensuring quality and consistency in estate administration matters
• Handle Wills, trusts and estate planning for UK and international clients
• Manage trust administration
• Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney and undertake Court of Protection work
• Lead client relationships on selected matters, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring high levels of service delivery
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including attending networking events, contributing to thought leadership and identifying opportunities for cross-selling
• Assist and mentor more junior members of the team including Trainees, Paralegals, and Solicitors, with a focus on professional development and technical training
