The role

The firm is seeking a Solicitor of Associate-Managing Associate level with at least 1+ years of PQE to join their Chambers UK and Legal 500 ranked Employment team. This role will focus on advising employers on workplace issues, leading on Employment Tribunal claims for respondents, and providing employment law support on TUPE matters, corporate deals, and outsourcing contracts.

What you'll do

Help employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
Lead on Employment Tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
Provide employment law support in TUPE matters, corporate deals and outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training
Draft contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation
Collaborate with Partners and work closely with the wider national Employment team

What we're looking for

Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered)

1+ years PQE in an employment team

Forward thinker with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines

Commercially aware with some exposure to business development

Ability to maintain and nurture strong client relationships

Ability to develop a deep understanding of client’s business needs

Ability to act in the best interest of the firm and the client

Ambition to assist in the development of junior team members
