The role

We are looking for a UK qualified lawyer with at least 4 years of PQE to join our purpose-driven City law firm. This role within the charity and not-for-profit client team focuses on contentious and advisory employment law matters, offering the opportunity to manage a caseload, build client relationships, and contribute to business development.

What you'll do

Manage a caseload of both contentious and advisory work
Take a lead on the day-to-day running of matters
Have a high degree of client contact
Develop your own relationships and networks

What we're looking for

UK qualified lawyer

At least 4 years PQE

Strong legal skills

Sound commercial approach

Natural advocate and strong negotiator

Experience handling employment law matters

Ability to take individual responsibility

Ability to be a collaborative team member

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrable track record of helping to build a practice· nice to have

Experience in, or a willingness to, identify and pursue new client opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives· nice to have

Experience managing work for multiple partners and clients while maintaining and nurturing relationships· nice to have

Experience with advisory, transactional, and contentious employment law work· nice to have

Willingness to challenge the status quo when it benefits the work· nice to have

Genuine interest in the work, with a willingness to ask questions and propose ideas· nice to have
