Legal consultant (4+ PQE) – Restructuring – London at A&O Shearman

The role

This role is for a lawyer with four or more years of post-qualification experience (PQE) specializing in restructuring and insolvency law. The position is part of A&O Shearman's Peerpoint platform, offering opportunities for assignments within the firm or directly with clients, focusing on complex cross-border restructurings and advisory work.

What we're looking for

A minimum of four years of post-qualification experience in restructuring and insolvency

At least two years in private practice at a law firm recognised as leading in restructuring and insolvency (e.g. Chambers UK Band 1–2 or Legal 500 Tier 1–2)

A practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the UK

Right to reside and work in the UK

Recent in-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution (directly or as a secondee)· nice to have

An understanding of the personal and financial factors that you need to consider when commencing a career as a legal consultant and how it differs from permanent employment· nice to have
