The role

We are seeking a Senior Associate for our growing leveraged finance team in London. This role is ideal for an experienced lawyer looking to focus on mid-market leveraged finance transactions and gain exposure to broader debt finance offerings within a leading international firm. The role will report to Partner James Hunt.

What you'll do

Focus on leveraged finance work
Gain exposure to the Debt Finance team's other core offerings
Provide debt finance support to the firm's mid-market private equity team in the context of leveraged and management buy-outs, refinancings and exits
Advise corporates on debt finance matters
Advise on financial restructurings
Draft and review credit agreements
Draft and review intercreditor/subordination agreements
Draft and review security documentation
Draft and review legal opinions
Draft and review bid commitment papers
Run or supervise transaction management
Support the development of more junior team members

What we're looking for

Experience in UK and international leveraged finance matters

Experience within a stand-alone leveraged finance or banking team at a leading national or international firm

Excellent transaction management skills

Ability to run or supervise transaction management

Ability to support the development of more junior team members

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing credit agreements

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing intercreditor/subordination agreements

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing security documentation

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal opinions

Proficiency in drafting and reviewing bid commitment papers
