The role

A technically challenging role for a qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law within the transactional Construction & Engineering team at Eversheds Sutherland. The role involves providing strategic legal advice on major energy, infrastructure, and development projects, handling own matters, and supporting junior lawyers.

What you'll do

Act for a wide range of national and international clients, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors as well as the traditional built environment
Provide strategic and commercial legal advice on major energy, infrastructure and development projects
Handle your own matters
Provide support and guidance to more junior lawyers within the team
Take a proactive lead in business development
Contribute to the strategic direction of the team
Work with your colleagues across the national/international team and wider practice and product groups across the firm to help develop growth areas for the team

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction law

Strong technical skills gained through working on a broad range of construction and engineering projects

Experience in the NEC, FIDIC and/or JCT suites of standard form construction and engineering contracts

Excellent communication skills

Ability to build rapport with clients

Dedication to providing a first rate client service both internally and externally
