Associate / Senior Associate at Dentons

The role

Dentons is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 4-8 years of PQE to join their Finance practice in London. This role will focus on advising lenders and borrowers on a variety of corporate lending and real estate finance transactions.

What you'll do

Act for lenders and borrowers on a variety of corporate lending transactions, including large investment grade loans provided by international bank syndicates, secured domestic and cross-border term and revolving facilities, acquisition financings (including public to privates), and other cashflow-based loans
Get involved in marketing and business development initiatives

What we're looking for

4-8 years' post qualification experience working in an international law firm

Primarily in corporate lending and real estate finance

Experience in running finance transactions including club and syndicated transactions

A good understanding of LMA-style documentation, including facility agreements and intercreditor agreements

A good understanding of cashflow-based financial covenants

Advanced core technical legal skills relevant to transactional banking work, including UK company law, and English contract, insolvency and security law

Committed to keeping up with the latest trends in the areas we cover, including the evolving role of AI and legal technology in delivering client value

Skilled in communicating effectively at all levels, including when explaining or adopting new technology solutions

The ability to organise and prioritise effectively, using digital tools and AI-driven systems to enhance efficiency

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Able to demonstrate readiness and openness to change, including new technologies and innovations within the legal sector

Dedicated aspirations to succeed

Keen interest in business development

Familiarity with fund finance product area· nice to have
