NY Real Estate Associate (4th - 6th Year) at Paul Hastings

The role

Paul Hastings is seeking a NY Real Estate Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their RE Finance and RE Development team in New York. The role focuses on representing lenders in commercial real estate finance transactions and/or handling acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development.

What you'll do

Represent lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans (including mezzanine loans and preferred equity)
Handle real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development transactions
Draft joint venture agreements and loan agreements
Work on deal teams with early responsibility
Engage in client facing time

What we're looking for

4-6 years of experience

Experience representing lenders on mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity

Experience with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, borrower-side finance, and development transactions

Highly skilled at working on main transactional documents, including drafting joint venture agreements and loan agreements

Excellent academic credentials

Law firm experience

Admitted to the New York Bar

Experience with construction lending· nice to have

Experience with repurchase facilities· nice to have

Benefits

Salary wage range of $310,000 - $420,000 annually
