The role

Winston Taylor LLP is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their Chicago office. This role focuses on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and sponsor-side financing, for real estate owners, developers, sponsors, and investment managers.

What you'll do

Represent real estate owners, developers, sponsors and investment managers in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions
Manage substantial components of transactions
Work directly with experienced partners and sophisticated clients
Contribute to the continued growth of a strong and expanding real estate practice

What we're looking for

At least three years of experience

Meaningful experience representing real estate owners, developers, sponsors and investment managers in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions

Particular focus on joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, and sponsor-side financing transactions

Strong drafting and negotiation skills

Sound commercial judgment

Ability to manage substantial components of transactions

Proactive, detail-oriented self-starter

Takes ownership of assignments

Communicates effectively

Works collaboratively across deal teams and practice areas

Strong academic background

Admitted to, or eligible for admission to, the Illinois Bar

Prior large law firm experience is preferred but not required· nice to have
