The role
Kirkland & Ellis is seeking an M&A Clearance Team Associate Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join their Antitrust/Competition practice group in Chicago or Washington D.C. This role focuses on Hart-Scott-Rodino Act compliance and international merger control coordination.
What you'll do
- Assess HSR reportability
- Prepare HSR forms
- Manage filing preparation, including coordination with the client, the corporate team and opposing counsel
- Work on substantive antitrust analysis of competitor transactions
- Respond to Second Requests
- Provide general antitrust counseling
What we're looking for
1+ years of Antitrust/Competition related M&A clearance experience
Excellent drafting and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within deadlines
Background in regulatory/corporate M&A· nice to have
Experience working for private equity fund clients· nice to have
