The role
Holland & Knight seeks an experienced Land Use and Environmental Associate or Counsel for its West Coast Land Use and Environmental Group in California. The role is for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience in litigation, including CEQA or California housing laws, or traditional environmental litigation, and expertise in land use entitlements and CEQA analyses.
What you'll do
- Litigate under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
- Litigate California housing laws
- Engage in traditional environmental litigation
- Handle land use entitlements
- Perform CEQA analyses
- Provide regulatory counseling under various state and federal environmental laws
What we're looking for
Minimum of three years of experience in litigation
Experience in writ-based litigation under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) or California housing laws
Experience in traditional environmental litigation
Experience with land use entitlements
Experience with CEQA analyses
Admission to the California bar required
Relevant transferable skills
Strong litigation experience
Strong academic background
Excellent research and writing skills
Experience with regulatory counseling under various state and federal environmental laws· nice to have
Benefits
Pay range for this position in California is $260,000 - $435,000/yr
