The role

This role is for an Employment Attorney with 3-5 years of PQE to join the Employment Law team in California or New York. The attorney will advise clients, including technology companies and private equity firms, on employment law matters and provide support for corporate transactions.

What you'll do

Advise clients on strategic workforce growth, founder disputes, employment policies, wage-and-hour compliance, reductions in force, and the use of restrictive covenants
Provide practical guidance to C-suite executives and HR leaders on high-stakes employment matters and compliance issues
Advise on employment-related risks in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and post-closing workforce integration
Draft and negotiate employment agreements, non-competes, separation agreements, and related documents

What we're looking for

3-5 years of experience

Sophisticated law firm experience

Strong academic credentials

Demonstrated commitment to client service and practical solutions

Currently an associate in a Chambers-ranked Labor & Employment group

Member of the California State Bar or New York State Bar

Sharp intellect

Thoughtful approach to career development

Maturity, professionalism, and excellent judgment in high-stakes situations
