Antitrust & Competition Associate at Jones Day

The role

Jones Day seeks a mid-level Antitrust & Competition Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Washington D.C. office. The role will focus on transactional antitrust matters, including HSR filings and merger investigations.

What you'll do

Conduct HSR filings
Provide deal counseling
Manage merger investigations before the FTC, DOJ, and other enforcement agencies
Conduct antitrust investigations (FTC/DOJ/State AG)
Engage in complex litigations (particularly federal)
Counsel clients

What we're looking for

Three to six years of transactional antitrust experience

Experience with HSR, deal counseling, and merger investigations before the FTC, DOJ, and other enforcement agencies

Experience with antitrust investigations (FTC/DOJ/State AG)

Experience with complex litigations (particularly federal)

Experience with client counseling

Demonstrated strong research, writing, and analytic skills

Ability to work independently and creatively

Ability to multi-task across matters

Ability to work successfully as part of a team and assume significant responsibilities

Excellent academic credentials

Currently licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply

Experience with technology industries· nice to have
