Associate - Professional Indemnity Construction

The role

We are seeking an Associate to join our Construction Professional Indemnity (PI) team in London. This role is for a lawyer with 4-7+ years PQE who will handle complex, high-value construction PI disputes for major insurers and construction professionals.

What you'll do

• Defend claims brought against construction professionals
• Act for major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and global brokers
• Advise on policy coverage, notifications and strategic claims management
• Manage disputes involving alleged professional negligence, errors in design, cost overruns, defective work, delay, oversight and project management failures
• Support insurers and insureds on risk mitigation and pre-action strategy
• Handle formal dispute resolution processes including litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation and negotiated settlements
• Work on complex, high-value matters involving a broad range of construction professionals and insurers
• Collaborate with colleagues across the UK and internationally on multi-jurisdictional matters
