Associate/Senior Associate Catastrophic Loss

The role

DWF is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with 3+ years of PQE to join their Major Injury & Casualty team in London. This role focuses on handling complex, high-value catastrophic injury and EL/PL claims for leading insurers.

What you'll do

• Manage your own caseload of high value claims, compromising of a variety of defendant catastrophic injury, EL/PL, and Motor matters ranging in value from £100,000 – £20m+ in value
• Draft pleadings, reports to clients, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines, liability investigations, gathering evidence, instructing experts and considering interesting medical causation issue
• Prioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices, adhering to court deadlines and directions, as well as the client's service level agreements
• Build working relationships internally and externally in order to maintain client relationships, develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs

• Provide support and supervision and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the team
