Senior Associate - Tech Transactions (including AI Contracting & Governance) at Bird & Bird

The role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Technology Transactions team in London. This role will focus on tech and telecoms-focussed commercial work, including SaaS/cloud, outsourcing, software licensing, tech development deals, AI contracting, and AI governance projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of PQE with significant experience in technology transactions and AI.

What you'll do

Advise on tech & telecoms-focussed commercial work
Advise on SaaS/cloud, outsourcing, software licensing and tech development deals
Advise on system implementation projects
Advise on AI contracting
Advise on AI governance projects

What we're looking for

At least 6 years of PQE

Significant Technology Transactions experience

Experience on AI contracting and governance

Experience operating as a senior associate either in a leading law firm or in an in-house role focused on tech transactional work, with exposure to AI

Good understanding of the legal issues associated with AI and existing experience of advising on AI contractual and governance issues

Strong understanding of the legal and commercial issues that underpin technology contracts
