Senior Associate - National PI at Clyde & Co

The role

This role is for a Senior Associate within Clyde & Co's National Professional Indemnity team in Manchester. The position is ideal for an experienced lawyer who will manage a diverse caseload involving claims against professionals, handle complex disputes, and advise on policy coverage issues.

What you'll do

Manage a diverse caseload involving claims against professionals such as solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, construction consultants, brokers, and other regulated practitioners
Handle complex, multi-party disputes—both litigated and pre-action
Handle policy coverage issues
Provide advisory work for major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and corporate clients
Run files independently
Contribute to larger, strategically important matters under partner guidance

What we're looking for

Minimum of 4 PQE

Previous experience acting on a range of coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial, professional and management lines space

Strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedure

Previous experience working on financial lines and coverage matters

Intellectual versatility and a breadth of experience across various coverage and liability matters

Excellent technical legal skills including drafting and strategy management

Ability to manage and prioritise a full and varied caseload

Ability to support in practice management

Connections with clients in the insurance market and a profile and network of contacts and potential clients

Excellent team player

Successful completion of a Training Contract (or equivalent)

Relevant education (Legal Practice Course; Graduate Diploma in Law (if non Law Graduate))

Practicing certificate (required for practicing solicitors as per the Solicitors Act 1974)
