Legal Director- Corporate Insurance

The role

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director for its Corporate Insurance team in London. This role is for a lawyer looking to take a senior position, leading sophisticated transactions, managing client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage complex insurance M&A, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings
• Advise on portfolio transfers, including Part VII court-sanctioned processes
• Provide strategic guidance on UK and EU insurance regulatory matters, including PRA/FCA requirements, governance, and conduct issues
• Act as a senior client contact, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with major insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers within the team
• Support business development initiatives, thought leadership, and client-facing projects across the firm’s insurance platform
• Collaborate with colleagues globally on multi-disciplinary and cross-border matters
