The role
This role is for an experienced IP litigator to join MinterEllison's Melbourne IP team. You will work closely with partners Jonathan Kelp, Gus Lightowlers, Robert Cooper, and Shyama Jayaswal on a broad range of intellectual property and technology matters.
What we're looking for
At least 3 years PQE and strong technical expertise in a broad range of IP and technology matters
Hands on experience in IP litigation
Excellent plain English drafting skills
Confidence to advise clients on complex legal matters
Understanding of the commercial realities that clients face
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining trusted client relationships
Sophisticated appreciation of, and practical experience in using, AI tools that meaningfully assist lawyers in their day-to-day work
Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team based, collaborative environment
Experience gained in a recognised Australian or international IP practice· nice to have
