Toxic Torts - Junior Lawyer

The role

Mills Oakley is seeking a Junior Lawyer with 1-3 years of PQE to join their Toxic Torts team in Adelaide. This role will focus on dust diseases litigation, supporting a partner and working with national and international clients.

What you'll do

• Manage a varied caseload of dust disease claims under supervision
• Draft defences, statements of claim, evidence summaries, liability analyses and strategic advice
• Assess exposure histories and interrogate causation issues using expert evidence
• Prepare briefs to counsel and liaise with experts
• Assist with mediations, contribution negotiations and multi-party litigation strategy
• Analyse and prosecute contribution claims against employers, insurers, builders and other commercial entities
