The role

This is an opportunity for a junior lawyer with a minimum of 2 years PQE to join the Band-1 Environment & Sustainable Development (ESD) practice in Sydney. The role involves working on a diverse range of matters including strategic advice, major projects, transactions, and litigation, supporting industry-leading partners Nick Thomas, Brendan Bateman, and Mark Brady.

What you'll do

Work on a diverse range of matters spanning strategic and policy advice, major projects and transactions, litigation and dispute resolution
Act for both public and private sector clients including Federal, State and local government agencies, ASX100 listed and multinational corporations
Refine technical and client skills under mentorship and guidance
Undertake client secondments as they arise from time to time

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years PQE gained within a reputable commercial law firm

Excellent academic results

Well-rounded experience in a reputable environment and planning practice

Well-developed drafting skills with demonstrated attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, counsel, and peers both internal and external

A proactive commitment to continuous professional development to expand skills and meet evolving client and industry needs

Senior Associates will demonstrate exposure across transactional, advisory and litigious P&E matters· nice to have
