Associate - Corporate M&A

The role

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is seeking an experienced Associate for its Corporate M&A practice in London. This role focuses on advising public and private companies on a wide range of complex cross-border transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

What you'll do

• Advise on complex corporate transactions, including, acquisitions, disposals, mergers, restructurings, carve-outs, spin-offs and joint ventures involving both public and private companies
• Advise public and private companies on a broad range of corporate matters, including strategic acquisitions, reorganisations, shareholder arrangements and governance issues
• Work on public and private M&A transactions, including takeover bids, schemes of arrangement and competitive auction processes
• Collaborate with specialist teams across antitrust, finance, tax, employment, regulatory, technology, IP and data protection to deliver seamless client advice
• Manage due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of key documents, while coordinating multi-jurisdictional deal teams
• Advise on transaction-related separation, integration and transformation projects, including post-merger integration and carve-outs
• Support clients on strategic partnerships, consortium arrangements and joint ventures across a variety of sectors
