Solicitor or Senior Associate (4-6 PQE) - Competition & Regulatory – Melbourne and Sydney at Mallesons

The role

Mallesons is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Associate with 4-6 years of PQE to join their National Competition & Regulatory team in Melbourne and Sydney. This role will focus on competition and consumer law, including mergers, advice work, regulatory investigations, and associated litigation.

What we're looking for

Solicitor or junior Senior Associate with 4-6 years PQE

Strong and broad competition and consumer law experience

Experience in ACCC merger reviews and assessments

Experience in competition and consumer law investigations

Previous experience in an Australian or overseas law firm or a competition regulator

Experience in, and a willingness to, explore and use AI to help deliver for our clients

A collaborative team style and a positive attitude, with an ability to delegate and mentor junior lawyers

An ability to identify and think through complex legal issues and to provide practical and effective solutions

Excellent written, analytical, communication and research skills

A strong commitment to client service

An ability to build and nurture client relationships within and outside of matters
