The role
Gadens is seeking a Senior Associate for their Corporate team in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on M&A and equity capital markets. The role is for an experienced lawyer with over 5 years of post-qualification experience, who is eager to contribute to a market-leading firm and mentor junior colleagues.
What you'll do
- Work on public M&A (takeovers and schemes of arrangement)
- Work on equity capital markets (IPOs and other capital raisings)
- Work on private M&A
- Work on compliance with the ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act
- Work on corporate governance
- Interact with clients directly
- Negotiate a wide range of complex deals
- Contribute to the growth of the practice
What we're looking for
At least 5 years of experience in a well-regarded corporate practice
Experience across private and public M&A
Experience in equity capital markets transactions
Experience in other corporate advisory work
Strong commercial awareness
Ability to produce high-quality work product
Genuine interest in building and maintaining lasting client relationships
Genuine interest in mentoring junior members of the team
Excellent organisational skills
Capacity to manage competing priorities and workstreams
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
