The role

Simpson Grierson is seeking an Intermediate Employment Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join their market-leading Employment Law practice in Christchurch, New Zealand. This role is ideal for an experienced employment lawyer or a strong litigator interested in specialising in this area, offering exposure to significant workplace matters and client advisory work.

What you'll do

• Advise major corporates, government agencies, local authorities, tertiary institutions and other leading employers on complex, high-impact issues
• Engage in major employment litigation
• Handle large-scale restructures
• Work on public sector reform projects
• Participate in significant corporate transactions
• Involve in collective bargaining
• Conduct workplace investigations
• Manage change management initiatives
• Undertake complex advisory work
• Support clients through mediation
• Represent clients in proceedings before the Authority and Courts
• Contribute meaningfully to strategy, advice and client relationships
