The role
MinterEllisonRuddWatts is seeking a Solicitor for their Construction Disputes team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role is for a litigator with 2-5 years of PQE and experience or a passion for construction law, who will support senior lawyers on complex, high-value litigation.
What you'll do
- Work with and learn from seasoned industry professionals on complex, high-value High Court construction litigation
- Deliver strategic project advice and dispute resolution services, including arbitrations under the Construction Contracts Act
- Work closely with all members of the team and enjoy meaningful client contact from the outset
What we're looking for
Admitted in New Zealand
2-5 years of litigation experience
Experienced in, or passionate about, construction law
Demonstrated ability to support seniors on complex litigation files with a high degree of initiative and autonomy
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues alike
Construction, property, infrastructure or general litigation experience· nice to have
