Key requirements
At least 3 years experience Holds, or is eligible to hold, a New Zealand practising certificate Strong experience in conveyancing, subdivisions and related property matters Confidence managing files independently from instruction through to completion
The role
Duncan Cotterill is seeking a Senior Solicitor / Associate with 3+ years of PQE for their Blenheim office. This role focuses on a broad range of commercial, property, and private client/wealth management work within a small, highly connected practice.
What you'll do
- Be involved in residential and commercial conveyancing
- Be involved in subdivisions
- Be involved in leasing
- Be involved in general property advisory
- Be involved in commercial contracts
- Be involved in trusts
- Be involved in estates and succession planning
- Work directly with clients
- Manage own matters with partner support
- See transactions through from start to finish
- Develop commercial judgement and client relationships
- Build strong relationships within the Marlborough community
- Maintain longstanding connections and build on these
What we're looking for
At least 3 years experience
Holds, or is eligible to hold, a New Zealand practising certificate
Strong experience in conveyancing, subdivisions and related property matters
Confidence managing files independently from instruction through to completion
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong client relationship and communication skills
A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
Ideally in commercial, property and/or private client work· nice to have
Experience in commercial contracts, trusts, estates or succession planning, or an interest in developing further in these areas· nice to have
