The role
Bell Gully is seeking an intermediate to senior associate lawyer for their Trade Marks and Intellectual Property team in Auckland. This role involves advising leading New Zealand and international clients on trade mark and brand protection matters, as well as broader IP and related commercial issues.
What you'll do
- Advise leading New Zealand and international clients on the full lifecycle of trade mark and brand protection matters, including clearance, registration, portfolio management, revocations and oppositions, enforcement and disputes
- Advise on trade mark matters in the context of market leading corporate transactions
- Advise on broader IP, advertising, media, privacy, and commercial matters
- Direct client engagement and relationship-building
What we're looking for
Intermediate or senior associate lawyer
Well-developed experience advising on trade mark portfolio management and brand protection
Experience on broader IP, regulatory and contracting matters, including in the context of corporate transactions
A genuine interest in trade marks, intellectual property and the strategic value of brands
Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a high-performing, supportive team environment
