The role

Tompkins Wake is seeking an Intellectual Property Solicitor or Senior Solicitor with 4+ years of PQE to join its IP practice in Tauranga. The role involves advising clients on a broad range of IP, commercialisation, licensing, protection, and enforcement matters, working collaboratively with experienced partners and senior lawyers.

What you'll do

Advise on trade marks, copyright and branding
Advise on commercialisation of intellectual property
Advise on licensing and technology agreements
Advise on intellectual property protection and enforcement
Advise on commercial contracts
Advise on corporate and business transactions where IP forms a key component
Work collaboratively with experienced Partners and senior lawyers
Build trusted client relationships
Provide commercially focused advice

What we're looking for

Approximately 4+ years' PQE

Experience in Intellectual Property, together with exposure to commercial and corporate law

Strong drafting, communication and analytical skills

Commercial judgement and a practical approach to problem solving

A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in building long-term client relationships

A desire to continue developing your expertise and contribute to the growth of our IP practice
