The role
Tompkins Wake is seeking a Family Lawyer with 3-8 years of PQE to join their growing Family Law team in Hamilton, New Zealand. This role is for an experienced lawyer looking to manage complex family law matters, build client relationships, and develop their expertise within a supportive and flexible environment.
What you'll do
- Manage files with appropriate support
- Contribute to litigation and dispute resolution
- Appear in court
- Support and mentor junior lawyers
What we're looking for
3-8 years of PQE with experience in family law
Solid grounding in relationship property, care of children, or litigation
Confidence managing files and working both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, drafting, and advocacy skills
A calm, empathetic approach when working with clients
A genuine interest in developing your career in family law
