The role

Anthony Harper is seeking an Associate - Commercial Property with 5+ years of experience to join their Real Estate team in Christchurch. This role involves providing commercially astute legal advice on a wide range of commercial property matters, including property investment, development, acquisitions, and leasing.

What you'll do

Provide high quality, commercially astute legal advice across the full spectrum of commercial property matters
Work closely with partners and clients from an early stage
Help to structure transactions
Identify issues that matter commercially
Carry transactions through to completion
Supervise and help develop junior lawyers (depending on level)

What we're looking for

Admitted to practise in New Zealand

5+ years of experience in commercial property law

Strong grounding in commercial property

Commercial and pragmatic approach

Ability to work autonomously

Careful drafting and technical discipline

Ability to provide practical, responsive advice

Ability to provide an exceptional client experience

Ability to take ownership of matters

Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

Clear communication skills

Ability to contribute to a high-performing team

Experience in development· nice to have
