Associate - Real Estate at Hill Dickinson

The role

Hill Dickinson is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 1-3 years of PQE to join their Birmingham office. The role involves advising clients on a broad range of commercial property matters and offers the opportunity to develop expertise within a supportive national team.

What you'll do

Advise a broad range of clients, including occupiers, property developers, investors and lenders, on matters including acquisitions and disposals of commercial property and development land
Advise on landlord and tenant matters, including negotiation of leases and all associated landlord and tenant documents (such as licences)
Advise on development projects, including development agreements, conditional contracts, infrastructure documents and onward disposals to investors
Undertake property due diligence and title investigations
Supervise junior colleagues on property portfolio management including licences, assignments and leases
Assist senior colleagues with property finance transactions and the real estate aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals corporate support
Handle acquisitions and disposals of investment property – including sale and lease-back transactions

What we're looking for

Qualified solicitor with 1-3 years PQE

Significant experience in Commercial Property

Demonstrable experience in most of the other areas listed in the job description

Willingness and aptitude to build on already strong knowledge and skills in all areas outlined in the job description

Demonstrates an understanding of clients, colleagues and others

Excellent communication skills

Able to prioritise tasks and to work under pressure

Adherence to guidelines and procedures

The ability to work as part of a team and independently

Enthusiasm to promote Hill Dickinson and the Real Estate department through networking and business development activities

Financially aware

Pro-active approach to day-to-day work
