Senior Solicitor – Commercial Property at Anthony Harper

The role

Anthony Harper is seeking a Senior Solicitor with 3-6 years of PQE to join their Real Estate practice group in Auckland, New Zealand. This role focuses on providing high-quality legal advice across the full spectrum of commercial property matters, including property investment, development, acquisitions, and leasing.

What you'll do

Provide high quality, commercially astute legal advice across the full spectrum of commercial property matters, including property investment, development, acquisitions and leasing
Develop specialist expertise in hotels and retirement villages
Work closely with partners and clients from an early stage
Help to structure transactions
Identify the issues that matter commercially
Carry transactions through to completion
Supervise and help develop junior lawyers

What we're looking for

Admitted to practice in New Zealand

3-6 years of experience in commercial property

Strong grounding in commercial property law

Interest in sophisticated transactions

Appetite to build expertise in hotels and retirement villages

Commercial and pragmatic approach

Confident working autonomously

Careful drafting and technical discipline

Practical, responsive advice

Ability to provide exceptional client experience

Comfortable taking ownership of matters

Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues

Clear communication skills

Enjoy contributing to a high-performing team

Experience in development, investment, leasing or property finance· nice to have
