The role
Gadens is seeking a Lawyer with 2+ years of PQE to join their Technology, Media and Intellectual Property team in Canberra. This role involves advising clients on a range of technology, data, privacy, and IP matters, supporting Partner Mitchell Wright and other national partners.
What you'll do
Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of advisory matters
Assist clients across the technology, media and digital sectors on matters involving privacy and data protection law, freedom of information, confidentiality and government secrecy regimes, copyright licences, technology transactions, and information security and governance
Conduct legal research
Draft advice
Advise on privacy compliance and regulatory obligations
Provide opinions and transactional documents
Review and negotiate technology and data-related contracts
Assist with client management
