Senior Associate

The role

DLA Piper is seeking a Trade Mark Prosecution Senior Associate with 5-8 years of PQE to join their IP practice in London. This role will focus on managing global trademark portfolios, leading on clearance and filing projects, and advising on disputes, while also contributing to practice development.

What you'll do

• Manage global trademark and design portfolios
• Supervise junior associates, trainees and paralegals
• Lead on trademark clearance and filing projects
• Provide registrability opinions
• Advise on and handle trademark opposition and cancellation actions at the UKIPO
• Manage and co-ordinate trademark opposition and cancellation actions around the world
• Supervise large scale recordal and data verification projects relating to trade mark and design portfolios
• Provide strategic advice on trademark filings, renewals and disputes
• Conduct portfolio audits and gap analysis reports
• Take an active role in the management and development of client relationships
• Play a role in supervising and training more junior team members
• Help identify and implement process improvements
