Senior Associate - Catastrophic Injury/Large Loss

The role

This role is for a Senior Associate with 5+ years of PQE in Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss, based in Clyde & Co's Manchester office. The position involves assisting experienced partners with complex claims and managing your own caseload within the insurance practice area.

What you'll do

• Act on behalf of a range of insurance companies and self-insured commercial organisations
• Assist with and handle a varied caseload
• Carry out investigations
• Take witness statements
• Review and interpret medical records and medical reports
• Report to and liaise with clients to achieve the best outcomes
• Comply with client SLAs and MI requirements
• Proactive and strategic file management, including adhering to court timetables
• Support the Partners in servicing existing clients, growing new business, and maintaining relationships with clients using technical excellence and innovation
• Draft all legal documents and client advice
• Deal with interlocutory proceedings, CCMCs and client meetings
• Support marketing and business development activity with the team and the wider Clyde & Co casualty group
