The role
Walkers is seeking a Tax Associate with 1-4 years of experience to join their Dublin office. This role is for a qualified lawyer or accountant with CTA exams, focusing on tax technical matters for domestic and international corporations and financial institutions.
What you'll do
- Work closely with the tax partners on a diverse range of tax technical matters
- Assist in advising clients directly and in conjunction with other practice groups
What we're looking for
Qualified lawyer or accountant (NQ to 1-4 years PQE)
Passed or in the process of completing CTA exams
Financial services experience
Relevant experience working in tax in a recognised law or accounting practice
Strong academic credentials
Strong tax technical skills and a passion for learning
Excellent drafting skills
Commercial awareness
Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
A willingness to work hard
An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Previous financial services tax experience within a law firm is an advantage· nice to have
