Solicitor - Motor & Fraud at DWF

The role

DWF is seeking a Solicitor with 1-6 years of PQE to join their Motor & Fraud team in Belfast. This role focuses on handling a broad range of injury claims, motor damage, credit hire, recoveries, and fraud-related matters within the Insurance practice.

What you'll do

Manage a varied caseload of files from inception to resolution
Conduct investigations, including evidence gathering and liaising with witnesses and experts
Draft and review pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation
Provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients
Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations where required
Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional and client standards
Collaborate with colleagues across teams and jurisdictions to deliver integrated solutions
Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law and industry developments

What we're looking for

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 1-6 years PQE

Strong knowledge of Fraud and Motor insurance law, including civil procedure and litigation processes

Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills· nice to have

Experience in handling high-value or complex claims is an advantage· nice to have

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment· nice to have
