The role
Morrison & Foerster is seeking a Senior-Level Investment Management Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join their Funds practice in Denver or Washington D.C. The role involves advising clients on various aspects of investment management law, including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and private fund matters.
What you'll do
- Advise private fund clients and their advisers on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, general securities laws and issues relating to registration, exemptions, compliance, governance and product structure
- Draft key corporate governance documents for registered advisers and registered investment companies
What we're looking for
3-6 years of experience, preferably at an Am Law top 100 firm
Regulatory experience with the SEC’s Division of Investment Management
Excellent experience with registered investment advisers and investment companies, including registered alternative asset funds and other SEC-registered products
Drafted key corporate governance documents for registered advisers and registered investment companies
Experience advising private fund clients and their advisers on the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, general securities laws and issues relating to registration, exemptions, compliance, governance and product structure
Outstanding writing and analytical skills
Top academic credentials
Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in
