The role

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a 3-5 year PQE Associate for its Corporate Advisory/Fund Formation practice in New York. This role will focus on advising private equity sponsors and investors on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds, as well as related legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.

What you'll do

Work with private equity sponsors and investors in connection with the structuring, formation and operation of private investment funds
Advise on legal, regulatory and compliance matters faced by fund sponsors

What we're looking for

3-5 years of fund formation experience at a law firm

Fund formation experience

Excellent written/verbal communication skills

A high level of professionalism in working and engaging with high priority clients and investors

Able to balance and prioritize multiple assignments and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise attention to detail

Able to work independently and collaboratively in team settings

A J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

Admitted to the New York bar
