The role
DLA Piper seeks an Investment Funds Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join their Funds practice group. This role will focus on advising on the formation and operation of various private investment funds, with a preference for candidates with experience in secondary transactions, and is open to multiple U.S. office locations.
What we're looking for
3-6 years of experience
Strong academic background
Experience advising on the formation and operation of domestic and international private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds
Experience with investments in funds
Admitted to practice in the state in which they are officing
JD degree from an accredited law school
Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently and professionally
Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
Significant experience in secondary transactions, including both sponsor-side and investor-side representations· nice to have
Additional experience structuring separately managed accounts and carry vehicles· nice to have
