Legal consultant (interim) - 5-7 PQE - commercial and technology at A&O Shearman

The role

A&O Shearman is seeking a Legal Consultant (Interim) with 5-7 years of PQE to join its Technology practice in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on commercial and technology law, requiring strong experience in drafting and negotiating various agreements.

What we're looking for

Minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a law firm ranked as top tier for commercial contracts and/or technology work

5-7 years' top-tier post-qualification experience in commercial law and/or technology law

Significant experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of related agreements including but not limited to procurement, partnership, purchase, marketing, software licensing and infrastructure agreements

Practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the region

Consultant mindset, including a highly professional, flexible and adaptable outlook and approach

Recent in-house legal experience within an established corporate and/or financial institution· nice to have

Experience in the Middle East· nice to have

Fluency in Arabic· nice to have

Working knowledge of AI· nice to have

Working knowledge of IP· nice to have
