Legal consultant (interim) – 5 -10 PQE - Commercial Technology - UAE

The role

A&O Shearman is seeking an interim Legal Consultant with 5-10 years of PQE for its Technology practice in Dubai, UAE. This role is for experienced and commercially minded Technology Lawyers to provide expert legal advice on a broad range of technology-related matters.

What you'll do

• Provide expert legal advice across a broad range of technology related matters
• Support internal stakeholders and external clients in navigating the rapidly evolving legal and regulatory landscape
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology agreements such as software licences, SaaS contracts, cloud computing arrangements, IT outsourcing deals, and procurement contracts
• Advise on data protection compliance under UAE law and relevant free zone regulations from the DIFC and ADGM
• Provide guidance on legal risks associated with emerging technologies including AI, blockchain, fintech, and digital assets
• Provide strategic legal counsel across commercial and technology matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex technology agreements such as cloud services contracts, software licences, SaaS agreements, and data processing arrangements
