The role
DLA Piper is seeking a Senior Associate with 6+ years of PQE for their Intellectual Property & Technology practice in Melbourne. This role focuses on IP and litigation matters, handling complex disputes and providing strategic advice for a global and Australian client base.
What you'll do
- Work with leading Partners to develop and hone skills and experience
- Work across multijurisdictional cases for Australian and International clients
- Act in major intellectual property disputes in a broad range of sectors
- Provide strategic intellectual property advice
- Assist clients with registering intellectual property rights both in Australia and overseas
- Litigate business-critical disputes
What we're looking for
Qualified lawyer, ideally qualified in Australia or a Commonwealth jurisdiction
Previous experience in an IP role, particularly IP and patent litigation
Excellent drafting skills
Excellent skills in communication, client relations, and team-working
Provides a professional, quality service in a timely manner, and responds effectively to requests from internal and external clients
Proactive and innovative
6+ years PQE
