Cost Lawyer FTC

The role

Reed Smith is seeking a qualified Cost Lawyer or experienced Draftsperson for a 9-month fixed-term contract in their London Litigation practice. This role will focus on drafting and advising on costs documentation and strategy for litigious matters.

What you'll do

• Draft and review costs schedules, statements of costs and detailed bills of costs
• Analyse and provide commentary on equivalent documents submitted by opposing parties
• Advise on costs budgets and prepare client estimates
• Produce and advise on supporting schedules for applications seeking security for costs and requests for interim payments on account
• Collaborate with Reed Smith litigators to provide clients with strategic advice on costs recovery and the broader procedural issues that arise in connection with such matters
